Cementation Foundations Skanska
Cementation Foundations Skanska is pioneering the use of geothermal energy piles in the UK, and to date has installed CFS Energy Piles which will save 750 tonnes of CO2 being emitted into the atmosphere annually. It was re-accredited as an Investor In People last year, and maintains an apprentice scheme for its workshops and fabrication facility in Doncaster. Safety training receives a high priority as does training generally. Turnover rose 4.5%, but profits lept 72%. The company played a key role in the country鈥檚 largest PFI hospital project, the Royal London, where it completed 45,000 man hours accident-free and came in four weeks early.
