Evans finishes Aberdeen contract
Evans Concrete Products has installed the final large elliptical cladding panel to the exterior facade of the £3m Aberdeen Marine Operations Centre. Evans' £380,000 contract involved the design, production and manufacture of the concrete panels.
Milbury flies high
Milbury Systems has designed, manufactured and installed 1150 m² of concrete panels on the fly-tower of Dunstable's Grove Theatre. The panels were specially made by Milbury at its factory in Lydney, Gloucestershire, and delivered direct to the theatre site, where each was individually lowered into position with a mobile crane.
Doka meets Manchester challenge
Formwork systems specialist Doka and contractor John Doyle Construction have made good progress on the first phase of the Spectrum project, a mixed-use development in Manchester. A combination of Doka's guided climbing system, Dokaflex tables and pre-assembled formwork enabled the firms to meet the challenges presented by Y-columns, irregular floor plans and windy conditions
