Vent-Axia has launched the Low Carbon Centra, a domestic extract fan which has the lowest specific fan power on SAP appendix Q, the list that means a product鈥檚 energy performance can be taken into account when carrying out the SAP assessment

Complying with 好色先生TV Regulations Part F for continuous mechanical extract ventilation, Centra is capable of achieving up to 80% energy savings and a 62kg carbon reduction, the company claims.

Designed for new-build homes, the unit has a continuous running axial fan offering trickle ventilation. Adjustable 鈥渘ormal鈥 running speeds make it suitable for continuous extract in kitchens, bathrooms, en-suites and utility rooms, meaning developers only require one fan type for any dwelling.

By offering the lowest specific fan power, reductions in dwelling emission rates, which are used to assess compliance with 好色先生TV Regulations, can be achieved. The fan can be boosted by a range of switches and sensors, or by a single light switch.
