Heckmondwike FB has supplied carpets to the new All Saints Church of England primary school in Bradford.
Over 1,000m2 of Supacord fibre-bonded carpet tiles was specified in a blueberry shade for the library, food science room and communal areas, while the classrooms on the first-floor level were fitted with Supacord tiles in arctic blue.
The Supacord range is widely used for educational buildings across the country, because it is designed for areas of heavy wear and tear, as well as providing acoustic and thermal properties. It is also designed to offer anti-slip and antistatic properties.
The company鈥檚 Total Care carpet in iris was also specified for the ground floor classrooms, which are used by the younger pupils. Total Care has an impervious backing and is bleach resistant, making it extremely easy to clean and highly resistant to permanent staining, which will help in coping with the relatively high number of spills from the younger students. These properties also make Total Care good for student accommodation, sheltered housing and medical centres. The company also supplied its Diamond range in dolphin blue. This was fitted in the main entrance area and which has a hardwearing cobbled-effect surface that has been designed to protect internal carpets from excessive soiling or moisture.
Supacord has been assessed by BRE and has gained an 鈥淎鈥 rating for sustainability in the Green Guide to Specification.
