Paint manufacturer 闯辞丑苍蝉迟辞苍别鈥檚 has developed Microbarr, an antibacterial coating it claims will eradicate 99.9% of surface bacteria in 18 hours

Formulated to help prevent the spread of bacteria that can lead to鈥漵uperbugs鈥� such as MRSA and E.coli, the paint has been developed using silver ion technology that protects against over 150 strains of bacteria while providing a tough, washable surface. Microbarr is suitable for use in hospital wards, doctors鈥� surgeries, veterinary hospitals, abattoirs, schools and retirement homes.

The Microbarr coating has been tested to the Japanese industry tests, JIS Z 2801. The product range comprises Antibacterial Acrylic Matt and Acrylic Eggshell and is available in 15,000 colours through the use of 32 colourant tinting machines.
