Sports surface manufacturer TigerTurf has developed TigerTurf WETT, an artificial hockey-playing surface that requires no water in its upkeep but which the company claims retains a soft, wet feel.
Its durable curly polyethylene monofilament fibres are similar in appearance to nylon blades and, according to the company, absorb the impact from hockey sticks. TigerTurf says the surface will perform in extreme temperatures and ultraviolet conditions.
