Dyson has reduced the carbon footprint of its Airblade hand dryer.
The AB03 Dyson Airblade shares the same patented technology of the original die-cast aluminium machine but has an outer casing made from tough, heat-resistant polycarbonate-ABS which it claims produces less than half the carbon dioxide emissions during production than the equivalent aluminium version.
The Airblade dries hands in 10 seconds with an unheated sheet of filtered air. The company says it uses up to 80% less energy than warm air hand dryers, and because the air is purified with a hospital grade HEPA filter, it is hygienic as well.
