Contractor Morgan Sindall has completed work on a £17.9m leisure centre on Worthing’s seafront.
The project for Adur and Worthing councils involved the replacement of the town’s existing sixties Aquarena and the construction of a new Wilkinson Eyre-designed centre, which overlooks the sea.
The Splashpoint Leisure Centre includes a six-lane 25m competition pool and a learner and diving pool, an indoor leisure pool with flume and play facilities, an outdoor paddling pool, a health and fitness centre, cafe, and studio space.
The complex also has a ground source heat pump, using renewable energy to heat and cool the building.
