Willseden crown court has ordered Multiplex to vacate offices following dispute with Quintain.
The chance of Wembley stadium being ready for the FA Cup final has diminished further after contractor Multiplex received a court ruling ordering it to vacate offices and canteens next to the site.
Willseden crown court has ordered Multiplex to vacate the premises, which are used by 2000 of the 3500 staff on the project, within 14 days. The ruling comes after a dispute with developer Quintain, which owns the land on which the offices are based.
The disupte arose when Multiplex and Quintain failed to agree a price on extending the lease of the land, which Multiplex was originally scheduled to vacate at the end of December. This was the project's original scheduled completion date.
The news is a further blow to Multiplex, which this week revealed it has been forced to carry out remedial works on the site's drainage to avoid problems with leaked sewage.
