Product supplier the Green ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉúTV Store has launched a package of water-saving products to help specifiers meet levels three and four of the Code for Sustainable Homes
For these levels, designers must target water consumption of less than 105 litres per person per day. The range includes the Ecocomfort bath which is designed to hold only 140 litres when filled to capacity. The design tapers to fit the human form, offering an adequate but reduced-volume bath and is suitable for applications where specifiers do not want to get rid of baths altogether but are working to the strict requirements of the Code.
Also in the package are the Swedish-designed Ifo ES4 leak-free siphon flush WCs. The company claims its design overcomes the problem with valve flush WCs which can leak water imperceptibly down the back of WC pan when the valve fails or wears. The ES4 features a virtually silent, delayed-action inlet valve, which also saves water by preventing the cistern refilling until the flush is finished. The unit uses a white ceramic pan that is engineered to operate effectively with a low-volume flush. It is available either back-to-wall or wall-mounted.
