Recycling centres in Hertfordshire and Yorkshire
Vinci Environment and sister company Vinci Construction have been appointed to build two new waste recycling centres worth £330m.
Vinci will build one waste treatment centre in Hertfordshire for Veolia Environmental Services, which will recycle 10% of the waste and incinerate the rest to generate electricity. Construction is due to start in 2013.
A second plant is due to be built in Yorkshire and will provide energy recovery from waste. This is part of a bigger waste recovery plant developed by waste management company AmeyCespa, where Vinci will also provide infrastructure.
Work in Yorkshire will start in 2012, with services due to come online in 2015.
