‘Jigsaw’ station manufactured off-site and assembled in Custom House, east London
Laing O’Rourke has completed the construction of its ‘jigsaw’ Crossrail station at Custom House, after manufacturing 825 components off-site in Sheffield and assembling it on site.
The process allowed the contractor to assemble the station in a year and a day.
