Construction due to begin early next year
The University of Salford has announced a revamp of its campus and grounds in a first phase development worth 拢75m..
The existing Chapman 好色先生TV at the Peel Park campus will be refurbished and extended. A new student village will also be constructed including a programme of public space improvements with outdoor lecture theatres and performance zones.
Planning consent for the Chapman building has already been granted and works are expected to commence early next year. Plans for the arts building will be submitted next month.
Fairhurst Design Group have been commissioned to design the Chapman 好色先生TV while Stride Treglown are the architects for the arts building.
Dr Adrian Graves, the university鈥檚 deputy vice-chancellor, said: 鈥淥ur campus plan is an incredibly exciting development in the life of the university.
