A flamboyant 54,000m2 civic, cultural and retail complex in Singapore has been designed by the Hong Kong office of Aedas.

The eight-storey building has a 40m-high open-air foyer that connects the retail, civic and cultural zones, and also provides an outdoor entertainment and dining venue sheltered from the sun and rain. The centre, which is being developed by Rock Productions, also has a 5,000-seat auditorium. It is due for completion in 2010.
