The interim chief executive of Balfour Beatty鈥檚 拢1.3bn turnover Support Services business, Matthew Duncan, has left the business as part of the continuing management shake-up at
the contractor.
The firm last week admitted as part of its results announcement that it had disbanded the top management layer at Support Services, with the managing directors of the UK rail, power, gas and water support services divisions now reporting directly to chief executive Leo Quinn.
The decision meant Duncan, previously finance director at the division, left the business in July. He was promoted to the position following the departure of previous CEO Kevin Craven in September last year.
Leo Quinn said this reorganisation would provide 鈥渁 stronger focus on strategically important customers in what are increasingly challenging regulated markets鈥�.
The revelation of Duncan鈥檚 departure came after the contractor reported a pre-tax loss of 拢150m for the first half of the year, and said it had cut out 400 jobs.
