Skanska UK has seen its revenue rise 15% in the first quarter of the year, as the impact of the firm鈥檚 acquisition of Atkins Highways Services begins to be felt on its books.
In a trading statement published by the firm last week, Skanska UK said it posted revenue of 拢334.6m over the first quarter of 2014, 15% up on the firm鈥檚 average quarterly revenue in 2013.
The firm said it also posted operating profit of 拢10.4m in the first quarter.

鈥淭his is due to the first full quarterly contribution from our enlarged road maintenance operation following the acquisition of Atkins Highways Services last year, combined with underlying growth across our business in line with our strategic plans.鈥
The firm said it booked 拢361m of orders in the first three months of 2014, including One New Street Square for Land Securities (pictured).
