Contractor sees off Mace to build 36-storey residential block in London鈥檚 Square Mile

Developer Heron today confirmed that Sir Robert McAlpine will build the 拢150m residential block known as The Heron.

The firm saw off Mace, as had been strongly rumoured over the past couple of months.

The firm will now start work this week on the slender 36-storey tower, providing residential space in London鈥檚 Square Mile.

Completion is due in 2013.
