Scheme expected to finish in January 2019
London firm 8build has won the job to build new events space at the London Science Museum.
The project designed by Mary Duggan Architects, the practice set up by the former Duggan Morris founder, won planning approval at the beginning of this month.
The new 1,800sq m space will occupy levels four and five at the South Kensington museum and features a panoramic window on the fifth floor. It is expected to be complete by January 2019.
Duggan said the project was designed to 鈥減rovide an adaptable interior to accommodate a diverse range of events鈥.
Gardiner & Theobald is the quantity surveyor on the scheme.
