Plans have been released for a 拢245m new community on the Clyde that will include 2000 homes
Plans have been unveiled for the second phase of one of Scotland鈥檚 largest waterfront developments.
The 拢245m project, part of the transformation of the river Clyde waterfront stretching 13km from Glasgow centre to Erskine, will create a new community called Ferry Village.
The project will be carried out by Bett Homes, George Wimpey, Miller Homes, Sovereign House Fairbriar Homes and Strathclyde Homes, and will include 2,000 housing units.
Councillor Jim Harkins, leader of Renfrewshire council, said: 鈥淭his extensive residential development will contribute in a major way to the complete regeneration of this important area of riverside.鈥
Construction work on the project is due to begin this month.
