Five-year deal for repair and maintenance with Brighton and Hove City Council could be extended by two years
Housing and maintenance firm Mears Group has won a five-year deal worth around £5m to carry out responsive repairs and void maintenance for Brighton and Hove City Council.
The partnership is expected to be a worth around £1m per year and can be extended by a further two years. The work is due to start in November 2006 following the exchange of contracts.
Mears already have a five-year agreement with the council to carry out gas servicing and breakdown work in Brighton.
Last week, the group announced pre-tax profits had jumped 23.4 % to £5.7m for the first six months to 30 June 2006.
