The pool is expected to be completed by December 2009
The 拢25m sports and leisure centre in Harlow will feature a 25m swimming pool, 20m learner pool and seating for 300 spectators. Other sports facilities include three covered tennis courts, eight badminton courts, gym and multi-purpose sports hall.
There will also be a health and fitness suite, bar/lounge, nursery and health shop. A science and technology learning centre for children and adults called Science Alive is also planned for the site.
Bob Rendell, Leadbitter鈥檚 managing director, said: 鈥淟eisure is an important sector within our construction division and we are therefore particularly pleased to be awarded these two high-profile leisure projects as the country builds up to the 2012 Olympics.鈥
