Stephen Trusler, previously with Wates, will lead on developing the contractor鈥檚 private residential, affordable, and social housing work
Laing O鈥橰ourke has appointed a new boss for its European housing business.
Stephen Trusler (pictured), former national strategy director for housing at Wates, will begin his role as accomodation sector leader for Laing O鈥橰ourke鈥檚 European business in January 2014.
Trusler will be reporting to Roger Robinson in his role developing the group鈥檚 strategy for the private residential, affordable, and social housing markets.
Anna Stewart, Laing O鈥橰ourke chief executive said: 鈥淪teve has worked in the affordable housing sector for 30 years, and joins us from Wates where he was national strategy director for housing.
鈥淗e was instrumental in creating Wates Living Space, leading its business strategy and successful business growth.
鈥淗e is a passionate supporter for continuous improvement and innovation, and is recognised as a strong industry influencer having participated in governmental debates on key issues and policies affecting the national housing market.鈥�
Trusler is also a member of the BiTC Enterprise leadership team and the Chartered Institute of Housing, as well as a chair of Aster Homes housing association.
