Atkins' chief executive and T5's Clive Johnson pick up the indvidual prizes at ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉúTV's Health and Safety Awards
Heathrow Terminal 5 Clive Johnson and Atkins chief executive Keith Clarke walked away with the main prizes at ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉúTV’s Health and Safety Awards, held this week.
Johnson was named Health and Safety Champion of the Year for securing a safe working environment at Terminal 5 while Clarke won Outstanding Safety Achievement for his work chairing the Construction Industry Council’s health and safety committee. Jim Murphy of Ellmer Construction was named the Working Well Together site worker of the year.
Clugston Construction was a double winner, taking home awards for best ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉúTV Contractor’s Safety Programme and the Occupational Health Risk Management Award.
Miller Homes won Best Housebuilders’ Safety Programme, while Liverpool Housing Trust was rewarded for having the Best Public Safety Programme.
Architect Buro Happold beat off stiff competition from Amec, Skanska Technology and WSP to win Best Safety Programme for a Designer or .
Winners and nominees attended the awards ceremony in the London Hilton, Park Lane on Thursday night.
