Constructing Better Health standards include fitness for work, heath monitoring and general health checks
Constructing Better Health (CBH) has published a set of benchmark standards for the industry.
The CBH Occupational Health Standards cover topics such as fitness for work, health assessments for safety critical workers, health surveillance and monitoring, general health checks and competencies for occupational health providers.
CBH chief executive Michelle Aldous said: 鈥淭he CBH Standards are key parts of the national scheme and address the need for baselines against which the industry can check, monitor and improve the health of the construction workforce.鈥
The organisation will also roll out a national database of information that will allow employers to check people are fit for work, alongside a dedicated website and helpline.
The standards are available at www.constructingbetterhealth.co.uk
