Firm to provide ongoing support services for the next 25 years
Contractor Interserve have been named the preferred bidder to deliver two new regional police headquarters in West Yorkshire worth 拢150m.
The construction of the two headquarters and custody facilities worth 拢100m will be followed by Interserve providing 拢47m of support services over the next 25 years.
The headquarters for West Yorkshire Police Authority and West Yorkshire Police will be located in Leeds and Wakefield and a specialist training centre next to the Wakefield facility will include firearms ranges.
Interserve will team with fund management firm Equitix on the project.
Mark Burns-Williamson, chair of West Yorkshire Police Authority, said: 鈥淭hroughout the development of the proposals the consortium has demonstrated commitment, vision and a proven ability to deliver innovative facilities on time, on budget.鈥
