£2m Heerlijkheid Hoogvliet park and community centre outside Rotterdam in the Netherlands
The €2.4m (£2m) Heerlijkheid Hoogvliet park and community centre outside Rotterdam in the Netherlands has just been completed.
The building, known as the Villa, was designed by FAT Architecture, and has a timber facade and a computer-cut frontpiece over its entrance, coated with gold polyurethane. A purpose-built lake in the surrounding park has been formed in the shape of Holland. The contractor was BAM Construct and the landscape architect dS+V.
