Leading geotechnical specialist Bachy buys piling contractor Simplex

Leading geotechnical specialist, Bachy Soletanche Limited has purchased the northeast based piling contractor, Simplex Foundations Limited.

The agreement was made for an undisclosed sum.

Bachy Soletanche has purchased the firm from Northwest Holst, gaining an increased rig fleet and its skilled, experienced engineers.

The company will continue to trade as Simplex and will stay in the local area, sharing Bachy Soletanche's new northeast office with the anchors, grouting and mini-pile division in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. Its plant will move to Bachy Soletanche's Burscough depot in Lancashire.
