Engineer will work on the upgrade of Blackburn Meadows water works
Aecom has won a brace of contracts worth over 拢49m in joint venture for Yorkshire Water to upgrade the Blackburn Meadows waste water treatment plant in Sheffield.
The larger of the contracts is to upgrade the treatment process and is worth over 拢30m.
It includes new and refurbished tanks, aeration lanes and new inlet works and will last approximately 18 months.
The second project is a new mesophilic anaerobic digestion plant worth over 拢18m.
This scheme will treat all sludge from Blackburn Meadows and the surrounding waste water treatment works.
Aecom鈥檚 joint venture partner is Galliford Try.
