While I support the intention of your 99% campaign, the article shows a lack of awareness of what has been happening in the field of improving the energy efficiency and reducing the carbon emissions from existing buildings in the UK over the past 10 years.

Slightly off target
I find it encouraging that the mayor of London is being so ambitious when it comes to energy targets (2 June, page 12). However, when you start comparing what is desirable to what is realistic, you realise that the thinking is a little less than fully joined-up.
