I-plas has launched what it says is a direct replacement for concrete, steel and wood.
Made out of recycled plastic waste that was destined for landfill, the product is suitable for applications on bridges, footpaths, walls and fences and architectural uses. The company claims it will not chip or splinter, is vandal-resistant and requires no varnish or coating. Additionally, it is hardwearing, non-combustible, difficult to ignite and will normally self-extinguish. The company produces a number of products using the material, such as ground- protection mats and outdoor furniture, as well as standard profiles and a bespoke product service.
