Ridge breaks down the costs of getting your recreational building to comply with access laws – and Davis Langdon keeps you up-to-date on the latest flooring prices
Consultant Ridge recently carried out an accessibility audit on a college campus. The table below details the costs and alterations necessary for a recreational building to meet the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act, which comes into force in October 2004. The high priority column indicates what must be done to comply. The medium priority columns contain costs of changes that may have to be made to comply. The audit also considers low priority adjustments but in this case there were none suggested by Ridge.
