The London offices of insurer Friends Provident have been fitted with a sound control system by Acoustic Comfort.
The premises are fitted out with a metal structured ceiling system and glass partitioning. This meant that conversations in meeting rooms and the boardroom could be overheard. The company carried out a three-stage solution. First, ceiling tiles, wall panelling, acoustic art and screens designed to absorb sound energy were installed. Next, screens were fitted to block and separate noisy areas. Finally, sound masking technology was fitted. This comprised 44 speakers to provide background noise.
