Energy company E.ON has appointed Michael Woodhead as managing director of its Sustainable Energy business.

Woodhead will be based at E.ON鈥檚 offices in 好色先生TVtead, Nottinghamshire and is to report to Don Leiper, MD of E.ON Energy Services.

Woodhead joins the company from Mitie PFI Ltd, where he also held the role of managing director and where he enjoyed success developing its facilities management business in the education sector, through private finance initiatives.

Woodhead said: 鈥淲ith carbon reduction and energy consumption management close to the top of everyone鈥檚 agenda, there are tremendous opportunities, especially through new and emerging technologies. There seems to be a general consensus that time is not on our side. We need to get beyond any inertia and help people understand the need for carbon reduction - we can鈥檛 afford to still be talking about it in 10 years鈥� time.鈥�
