Olympic marketing rules are relegating construction to a second-class activity
Yet again construction is relegated to being a second-class activity ( 19 July, www.building.co.uk). How long are we in this vital industry prepared to take such treatment? Just consider what we pay for legal, financial and retail transactions with vast mark-ups and then look at the storm that blows when someone actually manages to make a decent profit from construction, despite the competition and risk. You can always get a builder to do it for less at more risk - try that in the legal/financial world.
