The facility will power 30,000 homes
Grimshaw Architects and SITA UK have won planning permission for a 269,000 tonnes/year energy-from-waste facility in Suffolk. The plant in Great Blakenham near Ipswich will generate enough electricity to power 30,000 homes and will create up to 43 long-term jobs. The facility hopes to be operational by December 2014.
