Taylor Woodrow is launching a full-scale flanking laboratory, located at its technology centre in Leighton Buzzard.
The facility will measure the flanking transmission of sound between adjoining rooms, thereby assessing the acoustic performance of fa莽ade and curtain wall systems, and was designed to create real life acoustic scenarios.
Steve Shanahan, Sales & Marketing Manager at the Taylor Woodrow Technology Centre, said: 鈥淭he opening of our acoustic flanking laboratory enables us to provide customers with access to the most up to date and accurate results. Although the IS0 10848 standard for acoustic transmission has only recently been introduced, we have already seen a great deal of interest from both existing and new customers wanting their cladding designs to be tested against this stringent new benchmark.鈥
