White Young Green snaps up J C Warnock Consulting Engineers to increase presence in Ireland.
Consultant White Young Green (WYG) has bought Northern Irish firm J C Warnock Consulting in a deal worth up to £935,000.
WYG has paid owner Ian Warnock an initial £655,000 for the Londonderry-based civil and structural consultant. A further payment of up to £280,000 could be made if Warnock unspecified performance criteria are met in the firm's first year under the WYG banner.
The acquisition brings WYG's presence in Ireland to more than 300 staff in offices in Belfast, Derry, Dublin, Limerick and Cork.
John Purvis, White Young Green chief executive, said : "The acquisition of J C Warnock strengthens White Young Green's business in Ireland … and brings with it an impressive track record working across all sectors of the construction industry."
J C Warnock turned a £130,000 profit in the year to 30 September 2005, on turnover of £602,000.
