Firms will receive 拢13.5m to upgrade infrastructure in western Balkans

WYG has won its biggest ever international contract 鈥 an infrastructure upgrade deal in the Western Balkans.

The firm won a 拢13.5m deal to upgrade transport, environment and energy infrastructure in Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Albania, Montenegro, Kosovo, FYR Macedonia and Serbia. The four-year contract is for the second phase of a European Union-funded programme of works on which WYG has already won a 拢13.3m deal.

WYG International's director of socio-economic programmes Keith Cook said: 鈥淭his is confirmation that we are now the primary provider of donor-funded consultancy services in the Western Balkans.鈥

WYG now has nine projects in the Western Balkans, with a further five under negotiation.
