Australian enivornmental project manager is the latest southern hemisphere business to be bought by WSP

Consultant WSP has announced the acquisition of Australian environmental project management consultancy Fitzwalter Group.

WSP will pay a total of 拢1.9m for the business, with 拢0.8m of this paid on completion. The move continues WSP鈥檚 expansion into the southern hemisphere, following recent acquisitions in Australia and South Africa.

Fitzwalter, based in Sydney, operates in the urban regeneration, contaminated land and environmental planning markets. Adjusted revenue and profit before tax for the year ended 31 December 2006 was AUD$2.5m (拢1.1m) and AUD$750k (拢300k) respectively.
