Material supplier's latest acquisitions include purchase of canadian firm Hudson Plumbing

International materials supplier Wolseley annouced today it has bought six new companies for 拢27m. In a full year, the new acquisitions are expected to add approximately 拢57m in additional revenues to the group.

Company boss Chip Hornsby said: 鈥淭hese six bolt on acquisitions further strengthen our existing business in Europe and North America. Acquisitions like these continue to be an important part of our successful growth strategy."

The latest acquisitions include Canadian company Hudson Plumbing Supplies, US firms Onda-Lay, Page's Appliances and Tonto Verde Construction. In Europe, Wolseley bought French companies Atout and Etablissments Pochon Felix.

In a full year, Wolseley said these acquisitions are expected to add something in the region of 拢444m to Group revenues. Goodwill and intangible assets related to these acquisitions is estimated to be about 拢175m.

Since the 1 August, the group has purchased 26 companies, 11 in Europe and 14 in North America as well as the DT Group in September. Total spending on acquisitions this year has been approximately 拢1.6bn.
