Results from last night鈥檚 awards ceremony celebrating the pioneering construction of low carbon buildings
Berkeley Homes scooped two awards at 好色先生TV鈥檚 2006 Sustainability Awards.
The housebuilder received the accolade for sustainable housebuilder of the year and sustainable development of the year, in front of 500 people at last night鈥檚 ceremony at the Hilton, Park Lane in central London.
Stephen Bell of Staffordshire county council took the prize for sustainable champion of the year for cutting CO2 emmissions by 44% since 1990.
Paul King of WWF scooped the sustainability leadership award for his 鈥渕illion sustainable homes鈥 campaign and constant lobbying of MPs for the sustainable cause.
The Suffolk-based Adnams Brewery was named sustainable client of the year for its 拢6m distribution centre, which is claimed to be the greenest warehouse in the UK.

- Skanska Integrated Projects, sustainable contractor of the year
- Wates Group, best corporate responsibility strategy
- BRE, sustainable innovation award
- William Birch & Eco Arc Architects, sustainable building of the year, less than 拢2m
- Keppie Design, sustainable building of the year, greater than 拢2m
- PRP Zedfactor, low energy building of the year
- Assael Architecture, responsible employer of the year
- Bovis Lend Lease, waste initiative of the year
