Ambitious contractor aims to increase turnover 50% to 拢750m over the next three to five years
Willmott Dixon has unveiled plans to boost its turnover 50% to 拢750m by 2012.
To achieve this, the contractor is overhauling its business, opening two regional offices, in Manchester and Dartford, Kent. This will take the number to six, each responsible for turnover worth about 拢125m.
The contractor originally planned to set up the Manchester office in January 2009 but both the Manchester and Kent offices will now open at the start of next year, under an accelerated growth plan.
John Frankiewicz, Willmott Dixon鈥檚 chief operating officer, will assume personal control of the Manchester division, with Anthony Dillon, formerly a director at Costain, as deputy managing director. It is expected that Dillon will assume full control of the region once the business is established. This will mean significant expansion in the north of England.
The Dartford region, which will cover east London, the Thames Gateway and the eastern counties, will be run by Rob Lamb, now deputy managing director of the Birmingham region.
Frankiewicz said: 鈥淭his strategy gives us national coverage and a strong foothold for the future. I don鈥檛 see any dilution of profit as a result.鈥�
Frankiewicz added that he was 鈥減retty certain鈥� that the company would reach its turnover target of 拢500m for 2007/8. He said: 鈥淲e have almost got all of our workload secured now.鈥�
