Contractor MCC is one of a number of Chinese firms understood to be looking to enter the UK market.

The firm met UK consultancies this week with a view to bidding for work for the first time. Chinese firms have taken on increasingly complex projects in Asia, including the Rem Koolhaas-designed CCTV headquarters (above), but have not previously entered the UK market. Japanese delegations have also held talks with Constructing Excellence over increasing their share of the construction market.
