Sites in Uxbridge and Grays have a potential development value of 拢38m
Home counties developer Weston Homes has acuired two sites with a potential development value of 拢58m.
The Essex-based developer bought one site in Grays, Essex, and another in Uxbridge, Buckinghamshire. The firm plans to build 95 apartments and houses on the Grays site, which is part of the Thames Gateway Development Corporation鈥檚 regeneration plans. Planning has not yet been obtained.
The second site, the former WIlliam King Flur Mill in Uxbridge, already has planning for conversion of the mill as well as 151 houses and apartments. The site is on an island reachable by bridge, with the Grand Union Canal and the River Colne bordering it on both sides.
Bob Weston, chief executive of Weston Homes, said: 鈥淲e are in a strong position, in 2009 we sold out of five sites and sales figures this year are impressive 鈥 I believe this success is due to building high quality homes at affordable prices.鈥
The firm now has a total of around 700 homes in its pipeline.
