Football club West Ham United is in serious talks with Olympic authorities about moving into the main 2012 stadium after the Games.
According to a BBC report, sports minister Richard Caborn said that there was 鈥渁 very serious negotiation going on鈥 between the two parties.
West Ham has been linked with a move to the Olympic stadium for a long time.
It would be a similar move to that made by Manchester City, which moved to the Commonwealth Games stadium in 2002.
West Ham is reportedly the subject of a takeover approach from two parties 鈥 one led by Iranian businessman Kia Joorabchian and another Eggert Magnusson, a Uefa executive committee member.
The BBC said that both were thought to being favour of West Ham moving to the Olympic stadium.
