Developer Commercial Estates Group has appointed the project team for the first phase of its mixed use development in Leeds

Developer Commercial Estates Group (CEG) has appointed the project team to deliver the first phase of its 拢400m Kirkstall Forge development in Leeds.

The 57 acre site will provide 1,050 new homes, 300,000 sq ft of offices and 100,000 sq ft of retail, leisure and community space.

The first phase, a 15,534 sq m, seven-storey office building designed by architects Copper Cromar, will start on site in the New Year with completion expected in spring 2017.

The first phase at Kirkstall Forge will be delivered by the following team:

 WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff 鈥 civil and structural engineering consultancy

 Weetwood 鈥 flood risk management and hydrological consultancy

 Turner and Townsend 鈥 cost management consultancy

 WYG 鈥 site wide infrastructure and environmental consultancy

 Hoare Lea - Mechanical & Electrical, Lift Engineering, Acoustics, BREEAM & Sustainability consultancy

 Planit-IE - Landscape Architect

Work is already underway to deliver a new dedicated railway station connecting the site to Leeds City Centre. I&H Brown is delivering the access road to the railway station and a river bridge crossing and to service the site for the first phase. This is expected to complete later this year.

The scheme is expected to create 2,400 new jobs, boosting the local economy by more than 拢5 million per year.
