Oxfordshire scheme will include 1,500 homes
Wates and Redrow have bagged outline planning permission for 1,500 homes in Bicester, Oxfordshire.
Wretchwick Green will include a primary school, shops and a community facility, as well as eight play areas.
An original application was first lodged with Cherwell District council back in June 2016 but has been revised to include more space after objections from the council and the Environment Agency.
Now over half of the development, 71.8ha, will be occupied by open space. Around 7ha will be used for local businesses.
Detailed planning approvals mean work is not set to start for another two years.
