Schemes in Cheshire and Essex due to finish next year
Vinci has chalked up two design and build jobs in Cheshire and Essex worth a combined £20m.
The contractor has started work on a £14.4m regeneration of Ellesmere Port town centre for Cheshire West and Chester Council consisting of a new bus depot and a 50,000 sq ft public services hub.
Once the seven-stand bus depot is complete, an existing bus station will be demolished to make way for the new public services hub (pictured).
The hub will house more than 500 council and public sector staff, a job centre and a citizen’s advice bureau for the council and will include a landscaped public space.
Vinci was awarded the job, which is half-funded by the government’s Local Growth Fund, via the North West Construction Hub’s High Value Framework.
And further south, the firm has won a £5.4m Advanced Manufacturing facility in Essex.
Part of the 27-acre Harlow Science Park, the project will provide 4,810 sq m of office and research space over three buildings and is being developed in partnership with Harlow District council.
Both the Essex and Cheshire schemes are due to be completed next year.
