Visitors will be able to take in panoramic views of Stratford-upon-Avon from 32m high platform

A 32m-high platform has been positioned at the top of the Royal Shakespeare Theatre's new tower, so that visitors can take in panoramic views of Stratford-upon-Avon.

The glass and steel viewing platform, which will accommodate up to 50 people, was built on the ground and lifted into place by a 300 tonne mobile crane. The structure was inspired by the original Memorial Theatre's water tower, which was engulfed by fire in 1926, and designed by Bennetts Associates.

Companies involved in the project include Buro Happold, Gardiner & Theobald, Drivers Jones and Mace.
