The regeneration specialist hopes to complete the scheme in five years
Urban Splash has agreed a revised development agreement for its Park Hill scheme in Sheffield that will allow the remaining phases to go ahead and the project to complete in five years.
The regeneration of Park Hill began in 2007 with phase one comprising 260 homes and 10 contemporary workspaces.
The revised agreement is split into four phases with phase two comprising 210 residential properties and phase three the development of 330 student housing units delivered with an external partner.
Phases four and five will provide further open market and affordable housing and artspace, all set to open in 2020. The scheme will also deliver 130,000 sq ft of commercial space.
Simon Gawthorpe, managing director at Urban Splash, said: 鈥淭his is great news for us and for Sheffield 鈥 it means we can complete the project we started in 2007. We can now, alongside development partners Places for People and Great Places fulfill our ambitions for the project.鈥
